GRANTS, DONATIONS & EVENTS FOCUS GROUP
(aka FUNDRAISING!)

Duties

• Is a member of the Grants, Donations & Events Focus Group
• Takes part in tactical decision making about major sources of income (capital and revenue), other than advertising
• Identifies potential sources of grant aid
• Identifies other sources of funding
• Assists with the completion of grant applications and similar documents
• Monitors expenditure aided by grants or other restricted funds
• Ensures that funders’ stipulations are adhered to
• Assists with the completion of reports to funding bodies
• Takes advice from the Treasurer and liaises with the Advertising Focus Group
• Contributes positive ideas to the development of the group’s work

Other Matters

All Volunteers

• Must join Thornbury FM - annual subscription rates apply
• Must be able to get to studio or meeting place in Thornbury on time

Volunteer of the Grants, Donations & Events Focus Group

• Focus group normally re-established after each temporary (RSL) broadcast
• A minimum of six months’ service is expected
• Must be able to attend focus group meetings (usually once a month at venues, dates and times to be mutually agreed).
