RECEPTIONIST
Duties
- Is the first point of contact for callers and visitors during broadcasts
- Answers all telephone calls promptly, courteously and effectively
- Receives guests and treats them politely and with respect
- Logs details of all telephone calls and visitors
- Ensures noise in the reception area is kept to a minimum, and that silence is observed when the red light is on
- Only allows guests into the studio when the presenter indicates readiness
- Liaises with the presenter about programme content (expected guests, call-ins, competitions etc.).

All Volunteers
- Must join Thornbury FM - annual subscription rates apply
- Must be able to get to studio or meeting place in Thornbury on time
Volunteer Receptionist
- Training will be provided (not accredited)
- Must receive child-safe training and be CRB checked
- Must be able to give a minimum of 2 hours during each week of broadcast
