Joe Clayton
Joe’s involvement with Thornbury FM commences from the opening broadcast in November 2005. Raised in the Isle of Man, his interest in radio began from numerous hours of listening to commercial and government supported Manx Radio back in the mid 80's. You can catch him on each Saturday in November between 11am-1pm for ‘The Saturday Lunch Break’ which will feature music and information, together with the Retro Hour between 12-1pm reflecting two charts on this day from years gone by.
In place of the retro hour on Saturday 15th November shortly after mid-day, I'll be featuring an exclusive interview with Thornbury musician Clayton Lawrence Blizzard the 1st; a politically influenced chap with a great sounding voice and guitar.
Joe's experience in radio spans across the last ten years with hospital radio stations in Worcester and Bristol as well as co-presenting the breakfast show for a youth based radio project called Air:Time Radio which broadcast for a month in North Bristol during October/November 2000. He has also hosted a number of discos as a student union disco officer when he was studying at Worcester College of Higher Education in the early 90's. He's kept his hand in by hosting further discos at private parties. Above all the musical content, Joe will be providing useful up to date community news and information”
