Mike, Louis & Fred

Not since decimalisation have the people of Thornbury been so afraid to listen to people younger than them being informative, creative and downright silly.

The Better Show brings you wit, satire and silliness in a whole new radio format. During each two hour show the listener will experience the radio equivalent of a full prefrontal lobotomy. Your thorax will be itching as we cover issues relevant to members of the community.

The Better Show is brought to you by:

Frederick ‘The Ravenous’
Fred is an avid collector of lamp shades, it has been rumoured that he can recite the complete literary works of Mikhail Lermontov, his favourite Russian romantic poet of the 19th century (excluding Alexander Pushkin, naturally)

Mike ‘Big Hitter’
Somewhat more cultured than Frederick, Mike is a great lover of the arts. Though he recognises Frederick’s love of 19th Russian poetry Mike sees it as more of a teenage infatuation that will soon pass, to be replaced by something more mainstream such as a love of the eight patriarchs of the doctrine in Shingon Lineages, in particular Amoghavajra one of the most prolific and politically powerful Buddhist monks of the Tang Dynasty. Though Mike himself prefers indulging himself in the ancient art of manjusri, a bodhisattva in the Mahayana and Vajrayana traditions of Buddhism, considered a yidam, or titular deity in Tibet.

Louis ‘submucosa lover’
Louis is a great lover of oesophageal tissue containing secretory glands, though his favourite contractile tissue has to be the Bulbospongiosus, though the Ischiocavernosus does come close, naturally. Often considered an intelligent extrovert, Louis is a purveyor of enlightenment through sadism, particularly when the people of Thornbury are involved.

Taking your calls each evening is our resident receptionist, affectionately referred to as Adalhard von Fenstermacher. Little is known about him as we never got round to asking him before his muntin bar accident that left him lame and dumb. He just turned up one day.

So why not tune in on Saturday nights. 8 till 10 with Mike, Louis and Fred.
